Counselling for Young People - Age 13-18
Growing up can bring a lot of pressure, and young people can sometimes find it difficult to explain what they are feeling or to know where to turn for support. Counselling can offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where they can talk openly, explore what is happening for them and begin to develop healthier ways of coping.
I have additional specialist training in counselling children and young people and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People. Alongside my private practice, I have experience supporting young people through school and community-based counselling work.
I work with young people experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, school pressures, family and relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, stress, identity, loss and major life changes.
My approach is gentle, collaborative and adapted to the age and individual needs of each young person. Sessions are designed to help them feel heard, understood and supported, while building confidence, emotional awareness and practical coping strategies.
